Landscape designer and broadcaster Chris Beardshaw has designed a series of Urban Oasis gardens with Groundwork and the RHS to showcase the power greener neighbourhoods have to change lives.
To mark Groundwork’s 30 years of changing places and changing lives, we are showcasing 30 of our projects around the country where you can help us to continue making a real difference. Take a moment to read about what we are doing and how you can get involved.
Groundwork, the community charity with a green heart, is 30 this year. We believe bleak, grey areas lead to bleak, grey societies. We want to empower more people to change under-utilised bits of land into parks, gardens, playgrounds and allotments that people can enjoy with their neighbours. If you or your organisation agree that everyone deserves their own urban oasis to grow food, play, garden or just to sit then get involved.
